Medgo Dear Foundation

Our about

Medgo Dear Foundation

This is a Charitable Trust started and registered in Kenya in 2014 by Rt. Rev.Hon Dr Robert Mutemi, the Founder and Presiding Bishop of Global Vision Church to mobilize resources to provide services to persons with disabilities at one place, especially the children with severe physical disability cases. The Bishop believes it is possible to Transform disability into Specials Abilities.

Bishop

The Bishop’s personal post-polio experience at an early age, that left his left leg disabled brought him face to face with the many hardships persons with disabilities face in Kenya in order to access disability related services offered in bits at different institutions in the country.  From rural area one has to travel several miles to get assessed in the hospital, then travel to Nairobi to get registered with the NCPWD, then go to seek for assistive devices and therapy services elsewhere. Application for tax exemption is another uphill task.

The Foundation was formed to mobilize and manage resources for establishment of One-Stop Service Provision Centre’s for people with disabilities. The centres are referred to as “Medgo Dear Centre” where Medgo stands for Medical Gospel Outreach while DEAR is abbreviation for Disability, Education Assessment Rehabilitation.

Our Vision
